What is BMR and TDEE?
BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is the number of calories your body burns at complete rest to maintain vital functions — breathing, circulation, and cell production. TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) multiplies BMR by an activity factor to estimate your total daily calorie burn. Use TDEE to set calorie targets: eat less to lose weight, at TDEE to maintain, or more to gain muscle.
